Hundreds of wheelchair users came out this Sunday for a ride in Mexico City to demand greater accessibility on the streets.
The event was organized by Vida Independiente México to demand from the government streets suitable for circulation.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), only 6.5% of the streets in Mexico have ramps on all its roads, while 77% of the routes are inaccessible to wheelchair users.
