Controlling the Bachoura fire in Lattakia countryside

Lattakia firefighting teams were able to control the fire that broke out this afternoon in the woods surrounding the village of Bashoura near Khan Al-Jouz in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The head of the Forestry Department in the Lattakia Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Jaber Sukour, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the fire, which destroyed a large area of ​​forest in the area, was brought under control in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Army and with the participation of a military helicopter, noting that the teams and firefighters remained at the site to monitor and cool down due to Because the site has a difficult topography, few roads, and in light of strong winds in the area now.

Suqur added that all the firefighting systems in the governorate participated in extinguishing the fire with a large cadre and various mechanisms, as well as foot forestry teams from the Forestry Department, the Civil Defense, and Lattakia and Al Haffa firefighting teams.
