France is experiencing an episode of historic drought, with 93 departments affected by vigilance measures or restriction of use.
Certain uses of water are singled out, such as watering gardens, washing cars or even filling private swimming pools.
For Julien Bayou, national secretary of Europe-Ecology Les Verts, we must “
have another relationship with water
”.
In the event of repeated droughts, the politician does not rule out that “
these restrictions will increase if nothing is done to stop the waste of this precious resource
”, he mentioned on Tuesday in
Le Figaro
.
He adds “
that the challenge is to repair the effects of climate change, to mitigate its future effects, and to prepare the country.

Julien Bayou calls for concrete actions and a vast adaptation plan.
He takes as examples Lyon and Bordeaux - two cities held by ecologists - who "

" to have access to it.
