At 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening, a motorist was seen in Vitrolles (Bouches-du-Rhône) by the Anti-Crime Brigade, leaving an industrial zone at high speed.

The police come up to him and order him to stop, but the driver refuses and accelerates in the direction of Marseille, causing a chase lasting twenty minutes.

Faced with the driver's dangerous behavior, a roadblock was set up by a crew from the interdepartmental public transport security service (SISTC), in the La Viste district, in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille.

But the driver, determined, violently hits a police vehicle to force the passage.

The intensity of the shock injured four police officers in the neck, and stopped the driver's car in its tracks.

The man at the wheel and his passenger, aged 31 and 36, were immediately arrested.

The police, while searching the car of the two individuals, then discovered nearly 1,000 liters of diesel stolen and kept in a tank.

The two arrested were taken into custody and an investigation was entrusted to the departmental security.

Refusals to comply have continued to multiply in recent months.
