Exasperated by the incessant urban rodeos in his neighborhood, a resident of the Admiral Roussin slab filmed these nocturnal comings and goings,

A young man suspected of three urban rodeos in the sensitive district of Admiral Roussin (Paris 15th) was arrested and placed in police custody on Monday at the arrondissement police station, Le Parisien learned from a police source.

This young man, who admitted the facts, was then referred to the Paris prosecutor's office.

Contacted, the prosecution did not respond to our requests.

On the evening of August 8, a police team on a mission to secure the slab in the Amiral Roussin district was discreetly approached by a local resident.

The latter then pours out about his difficult daily life, punctuated by the noise pollution caused by many nocturnal urban rodeos.

As proof, this exasperated resident shows the police three scenes of wild rodeos, filmed by him on July 14, 15 and 16.

Confronted with images, he recognizes the facts

On these videos, the police then recognize a young man from the neighborhood, already known to the police, for traffic offenses in particular, in the process of rear wheeling, without a helmet, on a black scooter.

An investigation was immediately opened and entrusted to the 15th century police station.

The exploitation of the images of the local resident makes it possible to formally identify the suspect, during three separate rodeos.

After denying it for a while, the young man ended up recognizing the facts, after being confronted with the images.

His scooter was seized.

The LR mayor of the 15th, Philippe Goujon, welcomed the "coordination with the police and the inhabitants to fight effectively against urban rodeos".

"In each district of the borough, we have appointed security referents whom we meet every month with the national and municipal police, in particular to discuss the points at which urban rodeos take place and set up police operations", added the aedile.

“We will continue to carry out daily operations to restore public tranquility in our streets.

At the beginning of August, a tragedy had put the phenomenon of urban rodeos back in the center of the news: a 7-year-old child had been seriously injured during an urban rodeo in Pontoise (Val-d'Oise).

The 18-year-old biker had first fled before going to the police station the next day.

He was indicted for "involuntary injuries resulting in total incapacity for work for more than three months" aggravated by two circumstances: the hit and run and the breach of security obligations.
