Today, the Criminal Security Center in Daraya, in Damascus countryside, arrested a person who stole an amount of 18 million Syrian pounds, as well as a gang involved in theft.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior stated that SANA received a copy of it, that the criminal security center in Darayya reported that unknown persons entered his factory and stole an amount of 18 million Syrian pounds from the owner of a confectionery factory. With him, he confessed that he broke the glass of the lab adjacent to his house and entered it with his brother who had gone into hiding, and stole the aforementioned amount, as the entire amount was recovered and handed over to its owner.
In another context, the Criminal Security Center in Darayya arrested a group of people who had stolen “electric bicycles, water pumps and electric cables” from the locality of Darayya.
The ministry indicated that investigations are still ongoing and the search is underway for the missing, and those arrested will be brought before the duly competent judiciary.
