The royal engagement of the son of Rania of Jordan

Future ruler of Jordan, Prince Hussein ben Abdallah officially proposed to his partner a few days ago with a pear-shaped diamond signed Harry Winston on his finger.

Usually more discreet than the royal family of England or Spain, the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan has made the headlines several times in recent months.

In the line of sight, the engagement of the daughter of the royal couple, Princess Iman to the Venezuelan Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, followed barely a few weeks by that of the eldest son of the couple, Prince Hussein ben Abdallah.

A major announcement since the eldest of their four children has been, since 2009, the official heir to the throne of Jordan.

The latter was previously to go to the king's half-brother, Prince Hamzah, before he was deposed in favor of the eldest son of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II.

Separate ring

By proposing to his companion, the Saudi Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif, the prince finally introduces the future Queen of Jordan to his kingdom.

A solemn and carefully studied moment, which highlighted her pear-shaped diamond cut by the New York house Harry Winston, but also the pair of Stephen Webster earrings, loaned by Rania to her future daughter-in-law.

A gesture that recalls the many precious winks that played out between Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton.

If the date of the wedding is not yet known, we can already wonder which tiara the future queen will choose from the imposing collection of Rania of Jordan.

Perhaps the Cartier model that the latter wore for her husband's enthronement in 1999... Case to follow.
