The Russian Foreign Minister referred to the bombing of Syrian army targets and said that such actions are "unacceptable • Lavrov said these things in a conversation with the Syrian Foreign Minister in Moscow

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, commented today (Tuesday) on the attack attributed to the IDF in Syria last week and strongly condemned it. The minister claimed that any military action on the territory of Syria is "unacceptable" and called for a diplomatic solution to the dispute in the country.

"We strongly condemn Israel's dangerous practice of attacking Syrian territory. We demand that Israel respect the decision of the United Nations Security Council and above all, respect the integrity and sovereignty of Syria," Lavrov said.

Lavrov said these things at a joint press conference with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Makdad, held in the Russian capital Moscow.

The attack the Russian minister referred to took place a little over a week ago in the Syrian port city of Tartus as well as at a Syrian army base in the west of the country.

Before the Syrian regime claims, at least three soldiers were killed in action.

The comments come as a continuation of the strained relations between Jerusalem and Moscow that were manifested, among other things, in the trial taking place in the country that could lead to the termination of the Jewish Agency in Russia.

In Jerusalem they believe that the purpose of the trial is political and is an attempt by the Putin regime to put pressure on Israel not to help Ukraine.
