A sudden death of a child occurred in the Western District.
At about 9 pm on the 24th, the authorities received a report that a 4-year-old girl fainted in the first apartment unit of Guanlong Building.
Ambulancemen rushed to the scene and found the girl in a semi-conscious state. They immediately rescued the girl and sent her to Queen Mary Hospital, but she was eventually confirmed dead after rescue.
The police intervened to investigate the incident and listed it as "death on delivery" for follow-up. The cause of the girl's death is to be determined after an autopsy.
It is understood that the girl suffered from a long-term illness before her death.
