A 51-year-old from Holzkirchner fell off his e-bike twice on Tuesday.

He sustained minor injuries.

Since the man smelled of alcohol, the accident could even lead to the 51-year-old having to give up his driver's license.

Holzkirchen

– Various abrasions and a laceration on the head: A 51-year-old from Holzkirchen ended bloody on Tuesday (August 23) when he rode his electric bike, which the police said was an e-fat bike;

its name is given by its conspicuously thick tires.

As reported by the Holzkirchen police, the e-biker was on Erlkamer Straße around 2 p.m., he drove in the direction of Münchner Straße (through town).

At number 2, the 51-year-old fell twice, each time alone.

An ambulance attended to the injured person at the scene.

When the accident was recorded, the police patrol noticed that the fallen person smelled clearly of alcohol.

The officials ordered a blood test and, as a precaution, secured the Holzkirchner's fat bike.

If the suspicion of intoxication is confirmed, the fallen cyclist must answer for driving under the influence of alcohol.

He can then expect a fine and, under certain circumstances, the withdrawal of his driver's license - at least for a few months.

And that's not all: Since the fat bike's electric motor enables a speed of over 25 km/h, the man from Holzkirch should have gotten an insurance license plate.

The police are therefore also investigating a violation of the compulsory insurance law.
