During the musical evening, which was held today on the stage of the Cultural Center in the city of Drakeish, led by the wounded Asif Suleiman, a group of patriotic and heritage songs with some Andalusian muwashahat and qudud were presented under the title “In the presence of music that gives hope.”

The ceremony, which was held by the Wounded Homeland Project and Tartous Governorate, “The Circle of the Wounded” in cooperation with the Limar Center for Music and the Medad Cultural Association. Ghinwa Abdel Rahim, the director of the Tartous team, said about it in an exclusive statement to SANA that one of the project’s goals is to re-support the wounded in the community, indicating that the project had previously cooperated to train the wounded in general. 2019 and he has his own band, which he is working to train and take care of in his own center so that we can come together to hold this concert under his leadership and supervision.

The wounded Asef Suleiman spoke in a statement to SANA about the circumstances of establishing the band and performing the service of science alongside the men of the Syrian Arab Army, adding that after being exposed to a shell whose fragments left traces on his body in 2016, he underwent a treatment journey for nearly a year to return with greater strength and determination to revive the band with the aim of reviving heritage and contemporary songs With high artistic value and good content away from kitsch and revitalizing the artistic movement in its area.

Children and young adults of the band, of their different ages, harmonized between a musician and singer to present the songs they trained in, including patriotic and turquoise songs such as “Helweh Ya Balady wa Anna Tahoun and Zaki Nassif Ahla Zahra” and traditional Damascene songs such as “Hal Al Asmar Al Lun, Some Andalusia and Qudud Al Halabiya” and others to conclude the concert. With the song “I write your name, my country.”

A number of the audience in the center's hall confirmed the fatigue and artistic excellence presented by the wounded Asef and his band in this concert, as evidence of the great interaction with him because he presented beautiful artistic content in a refined manner, preserving the essence of the songs he performed.

It is noteworthy that the wounded Asef Suleiman, born in 1985, is a teacher in the school theater in the Directorate of Education.
