According to Minister Michaeli, the non-operation on the weekends will significantly harm the public who do not own a private vehicle.

Furthermore, the huge inputs amounting to tens of billions, invested by the ministry through NTA in the transportation infrastructure that will form the backbone of transportation in Gush Dan in the next two decades, justify its full exploitation 7 days a week for the benefit of the public.

Minister of Transportation and Road Safety MK Merav Michaeli:

"The citizens of Israel deserve to see the blockade end at the end of the week. I have always believed that the freedom of movement of the citizens of Israel should not be restricted, not by day, not by hour, and not by any means of transportation, private vehicle or public bus. Today more And more of the Israeli public needs public transportation during the weekend, wants it, and many, many of those who will not use it, support it. It is our duty to make it happen. To reduce the gap between those who own a private car and those who do not, to help take vehicles off the road and make the change that the state The Israel of 2022 needs him so badly. I call on the Prime Minister not to waste the historic window of opportunity that has opened up for us and to join me in changing the face of public transportation in Israel."
