A 17-year-old man, a resident of Rishon LeZion, was arrested today (Thursday) on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old at home.
Police officers were called to the scene and searched the suspect's house - where relevant findings were seized.
The police said that at the end of his investigation - he was imprisoned.
His detention was extended until Monday.
The investigation was opened upon receiving a report from the young woman about the incident - which happened at the suspect's house.
The police stated that they "received assistance in the medical welfare aspect, along with gathering evidence to advance the investigation."
There was a publicity disaster over the identity of the victim.

On Monday, an indictment was submitted to the military court in Judea against a 26-year-old man from East Jerusalem for raping a female patient at a geriatric nursing hospital where he worked.
According to the charge, the therapist Daoud Omar Muhammad Abu Ait committed sexual offenses against the victim for about a month, while taking advantage of her disability.
His detention was extended until Sunday.
According to the indictment, from June to July 17, the defendant committed serious sexual offenses against an elderly woman being treated in a series of cases, despite her pleas to stop his actions.
According to the indictment, in one of the attacks that took place in the victim's room, a medical brother entered the scene who noticed the defendant's actions - but the latter turned to the former and asked him not to tell what he saw, claiming that "this is my livelihood."
