Three months ago, IDF fighter Noam Raz was killed in a heavy exchange of fire in the village of Burkin, during an operation to arrest a wanted man who had barricaded himself in his house. The fighter, a 47-year-old resident of Kida, left behind a wife - Efrat, and six children.
Raz was injured in the activities of the IDF forces, the Shin Bet A military officer who surrounded a building where he was wanted, to prevent an attack that was expected to take place.
Gunmen who arrived at the scene opened fire on the security forces, and the IDF fighter was seriously injured. A helicopter was launched to the scene and he was taken to the hospital - where he was later pronounced dead.
