Cologne reach group stage - 3:0 in second leg

Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln has made it into the group stage of the Conference League.

Coach Steffen Baumgart's team won Thursday's playoff second leg at Fehérvár FC in Hungary 3-0 (1-0), making up for the 1-2 win in the first leg.

Goal scorers for Cologne were Timo Hübers (10th minute), Ellyes Shkiri (46.

Szekesfehérvár - ) and Kingsley Schindler (90+4).

Coach Steffen Baumgart saw yellow-red in the 90th minute for complaining.

This means that the Bundesliga is represented by eight clubs in the three European Cup competitions, the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, for the first time in 14 years.

For 1. FC Köln, the qualification is worth around ten million euros.
