With the start of the Premier League football approaching, Al Karama team, in its new technical and administrative form, seeks to restore its former glory and reach the podiums in the next season.
Al-Karama intensified its preparations for the competition through morning and evening training under the supervision of coach Fawaz Mando, in addition to friendly matches and participation in the Journalists' Cup tournament currently being held at the Seventh of April Stadium in Aleppo, and it is on a date to meet the Vanguard team tomorrow in the semi-finals.
In a statement to SANA, a member of the club’s management and team manager, Iyad Mando, explained that despite the delay in forming the new management of the club, we were able to attract a number of players in addition to a foreign player, pointing out that the team played many friendly matches with Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo, Al-Wehda, Al-Tali’a and Al-Majd to stand on the technical level. For the players and to know the extent of harmony between them, stressing at the same time that the first meeting in the league will be difficult because our competitor will be Ahli Aleppo, which is an ancient club with championships, but we will be fully prepared to compete in this competition as required and we will meet the requirements of the dignity audience.
Coach Fawaz Mando said: We started with the team with an emergency and quick plan. We finished the stage of physical preparation and are currently focusing on the technical factor and some defensive and offensive tactical sentences that our players translate in the Journalists' Cup tournament, which precedes the league championship by a few days, pointing out that our goal is to reach advanced positions in the general arrangement. We aspire to provide a good technical level and positive results that befit the reputation of the prestigious Al Karama Club.
It is noteworthy that Al Karama has won the League Championship eight times, the Republic Cup Championship eight times and the Super Cup twice. He is the runner-up for the AFC Champions League in 2006, the runner-up for the AFC Cup in 2009, and qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League in 2007.
