- large-scale operation near Freising: On Thursday morning, an agricultural property in Eggertsthofen caught fire.
This was reported to the operations control center around 11:40 a.m.
When the first emergency services arrived on site, a building was already fully engulfed in flames.
As was learned, there were apparently several explosions on site.
The upstream agricultural property is said to have probably caught fire.
Numerous fire brigades are fighting the flames.
The police and emergency services of the BRK are also on site.
Black column of smoke over Freising - important information for residents
The column of black smoke hanging over the property can be seen from afar.
Due to the heavy smoke, flight operations from the east on the north runway of Munich Airport have been temporarily suspended, reports the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North.
Sommerstrasse in the direction of Pulling and Dürnecker Strasse were closed.
Residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed.
In the meantime, the emergency vehicles were backed up on state road 2350 (former B11).
A large number of onlookers had also gathered there.
This crowd was broken up by police officers.
