The Acting Minister Plenipotentiary and Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Serbia, Dr. Ammar Awad, discussed with the Serbian Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Oros Pribevic ways to develop and strengthen Syrian-Serbian relations, especially in the sports field.
During the meeting, Awad noted the support of the friendly countries to Syria during the years of the unjust terrorist war against it, and pointed to the importance of framing cooperation between Syria and Serbia in the sports field to ensure its continuity and sustainability, expressing the desire of the General Sports Federation in Syria to establish the closest relations and cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports in all sports fields .
In turn, Pribevic stressed the strength of the Syrian-Serbian relations and thanked the Syrian government for its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, expressing his support for establishing the best relations with the General Sports Federation in Syria, especially in the field of sports medicine and providing advice to avoid sports injuries due to the existence of an Institute of Sports Medicine in Serbia, which is considered one of the best Sports medical institutes on the European continent.
Brebevic also pointed out that there are some stadiums and sports centers for training and the establishment of sports camps, wishing Syria's participation in the World Junior Wrestling Championship (UWW), which will be held in Serbia next September.
The meeting was attended by Minister Counselor Amid Hamdan from the Syrian Embassy.
