Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) has defended Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin against criticism of the party videos.
"Even if it may shock some: Politicians are people, have a private life," said Baerbock on Friday in Copenhagen.
Baerbock has traveled to neighboring Denmark for an inaugural visit.
»I also like music and, when I have some private time, not only play cards, but was on vacation – unfortunately not at a party – but at a rock concert.«
Finland's Prime Minister Marin hit the headlines last week with videos of a private party showing her dancing and singing with friends.
After speculation about whether drugs were involved at the party about two weeks ago, Marin took a drug test.
This turned out negative.
In her homeland, but also in Germany, several politicians had taken the Finn under her protection.
Green politician Hannah Neumann had published a video of a Green federal party conference in 2018, where people danced eagerly.
Back then, Baerbock, among other things, swung her hips with her in a gallery.
