The heat pump is currently enjoying increasing popularity as a heating alternative.
But what is the cheapest heating method?
Heating method: Gas and electricity prices make the choice difficult
Unfortunately, that's not so easy to say.
Because which heating method is best depends on various factors that can change quickly.
These include gas and electricity prices, which have risen enormously compared to the previous year.
However, any state subsidies, the level of energy consumption and the age of the building should also be taken into account.
Gas, heat pump, pellets: this is how much the heating methods cost
In order to get a rough overview of the different heating methods, the North Rhine-Westphalia consumer advice center has made a sample comparative calculation.
The following table compares both the acquisition costs and the running costs for the different types of heating for a model household.
With the old gas heating mentioned in the table, the model household would pay around 4,500 euros a year.
With an efficiency of 80 percent, the total annual consumption would be 25,000 kilowatt hours (kWh).
With the costs listed here, however, it should also be noted that any maintenance costs are not yet included.
In addition, the development of electricity and gas prices is difficult to predict at the moment.
Air source heat pump with photovoltaic system as the cheapest option
According to the table, the cheapest heating method is an air source heat pump in combination with a photovoltaic (PV) system.
However, homeowners should always clarify which heating method is most suitable for them individually with an expert who takes all factors into account.
