Is the FSB planning attacks in Russia?

This is now reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Moscow - terrorist attacks on its own territory to get the population of Russia back in line?

The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is now prophesying this extreme scenario for the coming days in Russia.

"The FSB is expected to organize a series of terrorist attacks in Russian cities with mass casualties among civilians," Oleksiy Danilov wrote on Twitter on Tuesday (23 August).

He describes the deadly attack on Darja Dugina, a supporter of the Ukraine war close to the Kremlin, as just the beginning: "Dugina is the first in this series".

Ukraine predicts series of attacks in Russia - carried out by the FSB

But why should the Russian secret service FSB carry out attacks in their own country?

Danilov also gives an answer to this: “In Russia, support for the war is falling.

The Kremlin needs public mobilization.”

He is referring to Russia's problems in recruiting new soldiers.

Recently, there have been increasing reports that Vladimir Putin is resorting to ever more drastic measures to attract new recruits.

After potential Ukraine soldiers were initially promised extremely high salaries by Russia, they are said to have even started recruiting in prisons for the Ukraine war.

New attacks in Russia?

Experts see Putin behind Dugina murder

But does Vladimir Putin really go so far as to carry out attacks on Russian soil?

At least experts now suspect the Russian ruler behind the attack on Darja Dugina.

According to the Daily Beast

portal, the historian Yuri Felschtinski places her death

in a series of mysterious deaths by Russian oligarchs in recent months.

The Eastern Europe expert and former head of the Kiev office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Sergey Sumlenny, on the other hand, believes that an internal power struggle in the Kremlin is likely.

Ultimately, Dugina fell victim to this.

For example, he asked

why Ukraine should have attacked Dugina - or if the attack was actually intended to hit him, her father - a supposedly unimportant figure in Putin's system in an area well monitored by the FSB at the highest risk.
