The little boy was found inert in a private swimming pool in Juziers. Resuscitated by a family member, he was rushed

A two-year-old child drowned this Saturday in the swimming pool of a pavilion in Juziers during a family lunch.

The facts took place around 1:30 p.m., when the little boy was seen inert in the pool.

Immediately out of the water, it is then taken in hand by one of the members of the family present on the spot and visibly mastering the gestures of first aid.

It is thanks to a cardiac massage that the child is resuscitated, and this while the firefighters are on the way.

A decisive gesture visibly practiced "by someone who has been trained", specifies a source.

But as the emergency services take over, the young boy's state of health suddenly deteriorates, requiring the intervention of a Samu team.

It was then decided to transport medicated in absolute emergency to the hospital of Mantes-la-Jolie.

It is not known at this time the exact circumstances of this accident and how long the child was able to stay in the pool before being found.

"What is certain is that the intervention of the family member saved him," said the source.

Due to the high temperatures of this summer in particular, many drownings involving children have been reported almost everywhere in France in recent weeks, including several in Seine-et-Marne.

The latest dated back to the beginning of August.

The lifeless body of the boy had been found three quarters of an hour after the pool closed, in the pool of the Le Chêne gris campsite located in Pommeuse, near Coulommiers.
