The Haute-Garonne prefecture on Saturday banned the display of signs denouncing the “side effects” of the vaccine against Covid-19. The advertiser is ordered to remove them within 72 hours.

After remaining visible for almost three weeks at the end of July and the beginning of August, the Toulouse antivax panels will have to be removed by the advertiser.

Saturday August 27, the prefect of Haute-Garonne Etienne Guyot announced that he had issued an order to this effect, denouncing “

false information

” on vaccination against Covid-19.

After conducting a contradictory procedure, the prefect of Haute-Garonne issued a prefectural order banning this poster campaign

,” the prefecture said in a press release.

The advertiser is ordered to remove them within 72 hours.

Displayed from private estates, the large signs were all visible from the streets of Toulouse.

They sported shocking formulas such as "

1 in 100 serious side effects, what if it was your child?"

“Or”

1 cardiovascular accident for 100 injections.

The health of our children is worth more than experimental vaccines

.”

These messages were signed by the self-proclaimed “

Independent Scientific Council

”, led by popular antivax figures such as Professor Christian Perronne or the anesthesiologist-resuscitator Louis Fouché.

On August 19, the Secretary of State in charge of Citizenship Sonia Backes asked the prefect to react, after a wave of reactions on social networks, as well as a call from the Order of Physicians.

The Haute-Garonne prefecture ended up condemning these advertising posters, specifying on Twitter that a “

report was also sent to the Public Prosecutor

”.

The billboards belong to the LPS Luchetta Display company, attached to the Publimat advertising agency in Meurthe-et-Moselle.

Invoking the dissemination of false information, the new decree definitively prohibits the campaign and imposes on the advertiser, the association “Réinfocovid” and the display, the company “Luchetta paint and screen printing”, a withdrawal by Monday.
