Arson in Mong Kok.
Today (29th) at about 5 a.m., the pedestrian bridge at the junction of Argyle Street and Tongwei Road suddenly caught fire.
Firefighters rushed to use a throat and a team of smoke caps to fight the fire, and about 10 minutes later, the fire was extinguished in an instant.
At the scene, a bunk bed on the bridge deck was burnt down, suspected to belong to street sleepers; the upper cover of the overpass was also severely blackened and the lampshade burned.
After a preliminary investigation, the fire department believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious. The police classified the case as "arson" and were investigating the incident.
