The Lebanese security mechanisms in the area of the city of Bint Jbeil announced today (Monday) the arrest of an ISIS unit that fought in Syria and infiltrated Lebanon.
According to reports in Lebanese media, the squad was located in a village in southern Lebanon near the border with Israel.
The members of the squad monitored the area, and ran a network to raise counterfeit money and drug trafficking to finance their activities.
The reports did not specify the number of squad members.
It was also reported that the investigation of the Lebanese security mechanisms is still ongoing and more details will be revealed later.

Arab media recently reported the arrest of a relative of former Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein.
According to the reports, the relative was an ISIS member, and Iraq asked to hand him over.
Hezbollah and Daesh have been in a bitter conflict since the Syrian civil war.
Hezbollah supported the Assad regime while Daesh is occupying territories in the Syrian territory.
Since the war, ISIS has tried to carry out revenge attacks on Lebanese territory.

Bint Jbeil is the second largest city in the district and is located a few kilometers from the border with Israel.
The city is especially remembered for the difficult battle that took place there during the Second Lebanon War, in which Major Roy Klein fell, jumping on a grenade to save his soldiers.
