Freising: The cause of the fire in Eggertshofen remains unclear – ten animals died

A fire broke out on a farm in Eggertshofen near Freising on Thursday.

Four days ago there was a fire on an agricultural property in Eggertshofen.
So far the cause of the fire is unclear.
What is certain: 10 animals died
As reported, in the late morning of August 25, there was a fire on an agricultural property in the Eggertshofen district of Freising.
A stable where cows were kept and an outbuilding burned.
A nearby biogas plant was not affected by the fire, but had to be shut down temporarily.
Eggertshofen: Not all cows could be saved
As part of the extinguishing work, several rescue workers had to be given medical care on site.
One person was treated in a hospital.
A large part of the approximately 80 animals housed in the stables could be brought to safety from the flames.
Ten animals either fell victim to the flames or had to be euthanized as part of a veterinary examination afterwards.
The
material damage caused
is currently estimated at at least
500,000 euros
.
The investigations into the
cause
of the fire , which are being conducted by the Ingolstadt Criminal Police Department, are
ongoing
.
