The Piesenkam fire department's TSF 44/1 portable pump vehicle has been in use since November 2019.
Because of Corona, a vehicle dedication on a large scale was not possible.
That has now been made up for.
Piesenkam
– The TSF 44/1 portable pump vehicle of the Piesenkam fire brigade has already proven what it can do many times.
It is suitable for firefighting as well as for technical assistance after accidents and the removal of trees that have fallen down during storms.
The all-rounder, which costs 125,000 euros, has been in service since November 2019.
Because of the pandemic, “only an emergency inauguration” was possible in May 2020, only the board of directors could be there, reports fire brigade commander Matthias Strein.
Finally a real festival in the village
Now the almost three-year-old vehicle has been inaugurated in a large group, as it should be.
"I want my crew to drive blessed," says the commander.
And a real festival in the village, that should finally take place again.
The TSF is the only vehicle of the small fire brigade Piesenkam.
"That's enough for us too," says Strein.
In 2019, the all-rounder replaced a 35-year-old vehicle that had not been state-of-the-art for a long time.
According to Strein, the equipment of the new vehicle was created individually for the needs of the fire service.
The fire brigade's gem was then generously watered at the Piesenkamer Weiherfest.
This was also set up by the fire department.
Not for the first time.
Even before Corona, the Wehr had launched the Weiherfest as a meeting place for the locals, as Strein reports: "Nothing aloof, just a festival for the Piesenkamer." The goal is to have the Weiherfest take place every year.
