Plastic artist Rana Othman is going through an experiment in her own world as a lover of colors and drawing to create the most beautiful paintings in acrylic, oil and watercolor colors in different sizes, most of them are large.

With the passage of time, Othman strengthened her talent with the brush and refined it with experiences and practice, to gain a distinct experience in the world of watercolors, in addition to her experience with oil colors, to culminate in her exhibition, which was held recently in the Afamia Resort, Lattakia, which is her first solo exhibition, which constitutes the first of her fine artworks.

The exhibition, which came under the title “Gamer Al-Ghadi”, during which 44 watercolor paintings were presented to embody the faces of the elderly in particular, in which she feels nostalgia for her late parents, in addition to being a passionate lover of drawing faces that express the abundance of feelings that emerge from the expression of bright eyes and her drawing of oil paintings that embody situations Humanity brings together love, joy, sadness, hope, radiance and elevation of the soul.

Osman explained that the exhibition constituted a beautiful and new experience through which she was able to express herself and reveal silent screams of color, emphasizing her message of conveying messages of love and peace and renouncement of wars and destruction.

She pointed out that the title of the exhibition, “Cammar Al-Ghadi,” is a reference to a plant whose wood is solid, and when it burns, it remains for a long time, and so are our feelings and feelings of sadness or joy. We cannot remain immune to what is happening around us.

It is noteworthy that Rana Othman studied art at the Adham Ismail Center in Damascus and then moved to Lattakia.
