Seventy minutes with the magic of music carried the audience of the Culture Palace Theater in Homs to the spaces of fine art and beauty on the wings of the Syrian Woodwind Orchestra, led by musician Ihab Al-Qutaish.

The evening, which was a mixture of several Western and Eastern schools, opened its program with an African Hungarian Classical symphony, after which it varied with a variety of colorful pieces with the same oriental spirit of Rahbaniyya and heritage pieces.

The second part of the evening included the opera Carmen from the play by Georges Bizet in French, which consists of four acts and was shown for the first time at the National Theater of theatrical Opera in Paris.

The band presented an anthology of five piano pieces with a new arrangement, including the Brazilian samba ticoteco, the jazz piece called “The Fun” in Arabic for Campchero and Classic Camach.

In a statement to SANA Cultural Center, Al-Qutaish indicated that, during the evening, he mixed Eastern and Western music to present a special program for the Homs fans, known for their musical taste, indicating that the band was established in 2019 and includes 36 players of wind instruments, guitar, bass, double bass and piano, and seeks to establish a music library for an orchestra of musicians from Syria that has its own language and financial independence. and technical.
