New turn of the screw against Russia?
Meeting in Prague, EU foreign ministers are expected to decide on Wednesday to make it more difficult for Russian tourists to enter Europe.
An intermediate solution should appease the Member States (Baltes and Finland above all) who want the borders to be completely closed, and reassure those who, like France and Germany, want to keep the door ajar.
The visa issue is not really new, but has never caused so much tension between the Twenty-Seven.
From the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Europeans suspended the application of visa facilities for relatives of Vladimir Putin's regime, government or Duma officials and for businessmen and women .
