Damascus, SANA-The Council of Ministers discussed in its weekly session today a draft legislative instrument granting special financial compensation to workers in the government

The Cabinet discussed in its weekly session today a draft legislative instrument to grant special financial compensation to workers in educational and administrative jobs in schools and complexes in remote and semi-remote places.

During the session, headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, the Council approved the agricultural production plan for the agricultural season 2022-2023, with an emphasis on investing all arable lands, reclamation of more lands, introducing them to production, expanding using modern irrigation methods, and making all efforts to secure production requirements.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of setting the priorities of the ministries’ budget for the next year to implement strategic projects that constitute a priority in development and increase production, while setting the specific executive path for each project, and the importance of preparing an integrated vision for developing the work of medical laboratories and their licensing mechanisms and monitoring their work in a manner that ensures quality, quality and commitment to prices issued by the Ministry of Health.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to expedite the identification of development areas in accordance with the determinants of regional planning and the new investment law in a manner that ensures the optimal investment of the capabilities of each region in terms of agricultural, industrial and craftsmanship and achieves balanced and sustainable development at the level of all governorates.

The council agreed to add a mechanical and electrical engineering specialist in vital facilities such as oil refineries, gas plants and electric power plants to the specializations covered by the job extension to achieve the maximum benefit from these experiences.

The Council also approved a working paper presented by the Minister of Administrative Development, Dr. Salam Safaf, which includes (Youth Incubators Work - Youth Excellence Competition) and the establishment of an electronic national platform to monitor distinguished people according to the two mentioned programs with the aim of encouraging talent and attracting talented young creators in various fields. The Council stressed the importance of establishing foundations and mechanisms for work And clear financing and operational programs for the work of these incubators.

The Cabinet stressed the concerned authorities to conduct periodic follow-up to implement the investment plans of the governorates and to ensure the optimal investment of their own resources to improve the service and development realities.

The council discussed a draft legislative instrument to create a production facility in the Faculty of Science at Tartous University under the name of the “Manufacturing and Scientific Consultation Center” with the aim of applying theoretical and scientific concepts received by students and researchers, translating research prepared by them into practical productive applications, attracting competencies and scientific and economic expertise, and securing job opportunities for them.

The Council also discussed the draft law on cutting the final account of the state’s general budget for the year 2020, and it was emphasized that the Ministry of Finance and the Central Agency for Financial Control will complete the cutting of the final account for the fiscal year 2021 before the end of this year.

The council approved the implementation of a number of service and development projects in several governorates.
