The district office has issued a bathing warning for two bodies of water in the Munich district.
E. coli bacteria were found in one sample.
District - As part of the regular sampling of the bathing waters in the district of Munich on Wednesday, August 31, elevated levels of coliform bacteria and enterococci were found in the Ismaninger Taxetweiher and in the Deininger Weiher.
The district office advises that bathing in the two bodies of water should currently be avoided.
The health department has already informed the communities concerned.
The municipalities should draw the attention of visitors to the situation with information boards on site.
According to the district office, the cause of the pollution found is probably the heavy rainfall of the past few days.
A new sampling of the two bathing waters by the health department will be carried out this week.
Post-sampling results are expected early next week.
