Sharpening the gaps: Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdulahian arrived in Moscow today (Wednesday), where he met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and claimed that his country demands very significant guarantees regarding the economic clauses of the agreement and also demanded the closure of the international agency's investigation against Iran.
"We are carefully examining the American answer and its proposals to the text drafted by the European Union. We need stronger guarantees from the United States in order to have a meaningful agreement. In addition, the Atomic Energy Agency must close its politically biased investigation against us," Abdulahian said.
At the same time, the senior echelon of the Islamic Republic is currently working on its answer to the American reservations regarding the nuclear agreement.
As I recall, a final draft was passed back and forth in recent weeks between Washington and Tehran through the European mediator for the talks, Joseph Burrell.

Russia is the main ally of the regime in the framework of the nuclear negotiations and it is likely that Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdulkhian coordinated positions with his counterpart this morning on the subject
Tehran demands the removal of all sanctions on its economy as well as the termination of the investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding a suspicious substance that was allegedly found in the past in a number of facilities on Iranian territory.
The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bakri Khani and on the other hand are present the representatives of the countries that signed the original nuclear agreement from 2015, among them: China, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and France, with the US participating in the negotiations "indirectly" through the representative of the president Joe Biden for the talks, Robert Mali, and the whole process is conducted by Enrique Mora, the deputy commissioner for foreign policy of the European Union.
