Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed her country's deep concern over the inaction of European countries over the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is being bombed by Ukrainian forces, describing it as a "dangerous game."

“The right decision should be to stop the bombing of the plant, and it is strange that adults do not understand this, as this nuclear power plant is located in the center of Europe and pretending that the West does not understand the full scope of the issue is a very dangerous game,” Zakharova said in an interview with reporters today in Moscow. .

Zakharova considered that the unbridled regime in Kyiv has reached the point where nuclear power plants are used as a tool for blackmail. “Maybe it is only because there is an understanding in the ranks of the European Union that they cannot do anything and that the Kyiv system is simply controlled by Washington and Brussels,” she said. It is also an indirect tool in American games, perhaps that is why Europeans simply occupy the attention of their population with endless anti-Russian attempts.”

"We do not want to sow panic, but this sense of inaction on the part of the European powers on an issue that they have always considered very important in their words makes me feel, to put it mildly, that I am very concerned," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added, noting that many European countries had at one time abandoned nuclear power. Specifically because of the safety issues of its residents.

Zakharova added that the Nazis in Ukraine bombed the Zaporozhye plant with weapons provided by the West, which bears responsibility, and that the Kyiv regime does not care about the fate of the civilian population in Donbass, with evidence of the bombing of the station, explaining that this regime tried to obtain nuclear weapons and admitted this as it committed crimes against humanity.

Zakharova stressed that the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission to the Zaporozhye station will show the true nature of Kyiv's provocations.

On the other hand, Zakharova stressed that the weapons that European countries and the United States continue to supply to the Kyiv regime prolong the war and increase the number of civilian casualties, stressing that the Russian military operation is proceeding step by step to liberate the people of Donbass.

In an interview with Radio Sputnik today, Zakharova said that Russia does not aim at the collapse of Europe or to spread division in it, explaining that "Russia has always sought and its main goal was to restore sound thinking to international relations."

Zakharova compared EU members to "blind people who do not express doubts and objections, do not ask questions and do not protest, but rather head to the abyss collectively."
