In Austria, almost all citizens can be happy.
The climate bonus, which is well above the German energy flat rate, is paid out in September.
Munich/Vienna - There is hardly a country that is not affected by high inflation or rising gas prices.
In Germany, the energy flat rate is paid out in September.
Meanwhile, the tank discount ended and the 9-euro ticket expired.
The Austrian government also decided to ease the burden on citizens.
The so-called “climate bonus” and the “anti-inflation bonus” are paid out there.
The bonus is well above the German energy flat rate and is paid to everyone - even to children.

If you live in Austria, you can be twice as happy.
As the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance announced, the anti-inflation bonus will also be paid out in addition to the climate bonus.
All people who have their main residence in Austria for at least six months receive the money.
Adults get a total of 500 euros and children under the age of 18 get 250 euros.
Most people get the money transferred directly to their account - without having to apply for anything.
Alternatively, payment in vouchers is also possible.
In addition to the high cost of living, the climate bonus is mainly paid out because of the eco-social tax reform that has been introduced.
This leads to the pricing of carbon dioxide (CO2).
The price starts at 30 euros per tonne and increases every year, reaching 55 euros per tonne in 2025.
The climate bonus is intended to compensate for the additional costs incurred.
The revenue from the tax should be returned to the citizens of Austria.

Climate-friendly behavior should thus be promoted.
Because the less CO2 is consumed, the more of the climate bonus remains.
From 2023, the bonus will depend on the main residence and will be graded regionally.
If you live in an area where the infrastructure is poorly developed, you get a higher bonus.
If you have to drive to school or work because there are no bus or train connections, a higher climate bonus is paid.
