A serious accident occurred in Bavaria.

An 83-year-old man died and a 30-year-old was seriously injured.

Schwindegg – Bad accident in Bavaria: On Thursday, September 1st, there was a head-on collision between a Jaguar and a VW on the municipal road between Edmühle and Walkersaich.

Serious accident in Bavaria: one dead, one seriously injured

Coming from Hassenham, the 83-year-old driver of the Jaguar wanted to turn into the municipal connection road between Edmühle and Walkersaich, which has the right of way, according to the press report from the police and fire brigade.

He probably overlooked the 30-year-old driver of the VW.

The man from Erding, who was driving the VW, could no longer prevent a collision.

The two cars collided head-on.

The 83-year-old was trapped in his car – he died at the scene of the accident.

The 30-year-old was seriously injured.

A rescue helicopter brought the Erdinger to a nearby hospital.

Large-scale operation in Bavaria after a serious head-on collision

According to press releases from the local fire brigade and police, the Obertaufkirchen, Schwindegg and Walkersaich fire brigades were deployed at the scene of the accident with a total of 45 emergency services.

The road was completely closed while the accident was being recorded and the clean-up work was being carried out.

Under the guidance of the public prosecutor's office in Traunstein, the Mühldorf am Inn police inspection began investigating the course of the accident.

In the course of this, an expert was commissioned to reconstruct the accident.

Both vehicles suffered a total loss in the collision – the police put this at 20,000 euros.
