On September 25th, a new mayor will be elected in Fahrenzhausen.

The FT introduces the candidates in interviews.

Finally: Susanne Hartmann (FDP/FWE).

Fahrenzhausen

– A new mayor will be elected in Fahrenzhausen on September 25th.

Three candidates are running.

In an interview, the Freisinger Tagblatt introduces them, the order was drawn by lot.

Today: Susanne Hartmann for the Free Voter Group Unity.

Ms. Hartmann, why do you want to be mayor?

What excites you about the position?

The office offers enormous leeway for coexistence on site.

It is important to use this leeway to prepare for the upcoming challenges of rising living costs, energy shortages and climate change.

We will succeed if we focus on our local strengths and implement sustainable solutions together with the municipal council, administration, associations and citizens.

And what particularly appeals to you about Fahrenzhausen?

There are many exciting projects in the municipality, some of which have already been decided and must be implemented quickly, for example the new town hall, construction of a sports and multi-purpose hall as well as social or assisted living and all-day childcare.

During my interviews, I immediately noticed the unity, the commitment and the broad expertise of the members of the municipal council.

This also spurs me on to work through the tasks ahead of us according to a list of priorities together with such a team.

So far you have not been politically active on site.

How do you prepare for office?

I have juxtaposed my political priorities from 14 years of municipal council work in Hohenkammer with those of the FWE, FDP and other groups from Fahrenzhausen.

There is almost 100% agreement here, starting with budgetary reason, with necessary investments for young and old, right through to the no to the 3rd runway.

In addition, I can rely on the strong support of the FWE parliamentary group and I am already having many discussions with the people on site, be it in the administration, the clubs or the social institutions.

How much FDP is in you, the FWE candidate?

In local politics, party politics should not be in the foreground.

It's about tackling local issues with a lot of communication, transparency and teamwork.

Personally, I am a freedom-loving person who motivates those around me, delegates tasks to employees and takes on responsibility.

These qualities obviously went down so well with the members of the FWE that they made me their mayoral candidate.

I am sure that as a district councilor of the FDP I can do a lot of positive things for Fahrenzhausen, which is why I will continue to exercise this mandate even after my election.

Which three projects and goals are at the top of your agenda?

I plan to hold a closed meeting with the municipal council and the local spokespersons shortly after my election as mayor in order to create a list of topics and priorities for the next four to six years.

My personal focus is primarily on the topics of all-day care, inclusion, social housing and the new multi-purpose sports hall.

But I also know from my professional experience that in a role like this you have to keep a lot of balls in the air at the same time and drive more than three topics forward - real multi-project management is required.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Is there a topic that you would tackle as mayor?

First of all, it is important to build on the preparatory work of the municipal council and the late mayor Heinrich Stadlbauer.

Then there are new compulsory tasks such as the right to all-day care in primary school, which will apply from 2026.

Otherwise, I will take care of the digitization of the administration, the establishment of a modern municipal company, the closing of the childcare gap between ten and 14 years and the securing of state subsidies for the co-financing of our social and infrastructure projects.

In addition, I would like to work with citizens, farmers and companies to develop a viable and sustainable energy concept for the community as our contribution to securing an affordable energy supply and achieving climate goals.

The administration in the town hall is working to the limit – and sometimes above the limit.

How's your recipe there?

I hear that from many quarters and this topic deserves absolute priority.

I myself have service in my blood, so it is important to identify strengths and weaknesses with all men and women of the municipal administration through individual and group discussions and then to make the necessary funds available for the necessary tasks.

In addition, I know from 40 years of professional experience at various levels that more personal responsibility on the part of employees increases work motivation and thus enables tasks to be completed below the limit.

What would be your motto if you were to become mayor?

With my independent and non-partisan view from the outside, I preserve the tried and tested and at the same time bring fresh impetus to the community.

With my open and empathetic attitude, I am able to set positive impulses and convey joy in my environment.

So: "New impetus from the outside - set positive impulses and preserve the tried and tested!"

What is your favorite place in the community of Fahrenzhausen - apart from the executive chair in the town hall?

I don't have a favorite place yet.

But during my information trips through the municipality I found a nice place.

It's in the smallest part of town, on the hill near Bärnau near the Schreiner's Cross.

From here you have a spectacular view over the Ampertal with the many livable and lovable villages in the community.

When the foehn blows, it is overwhelming when the Olympic Tower, the Munich Frauenkirche and the mountains are so close you can touch them.

I'm the right community leader for Fahrenzhausen, because.

.

.

.

.

.As a long-standing municipal councillor, youth officer, district councilor and member of a modern municipal company, I have the necessary local political experience and networking in the district.

Because I tackle tasks, motivate my employees and together we don't leave anything behind that we started.

And because I come from outside the community, so I'm a mayor for everyone and will carry out my office transparently and impartially.
