"The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power"

For lovers of fantasy stories, there will be no other premiere in September than this one.

hobbits

franchise has managed to build a loyalty with its followers.

Prime Video kicks off September with the premiere of this original series, "Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power", or "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power", in Spanish.

The production is set thousands of years before the events of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings", specifically in the Second Age.

The series will show how the rings of power were forged in a time of peace in which evil resurfaces.

Characters already known from the JRR Tolkien universe will appear in the series, such as Galadriel, Elrond, Isildor or Sauron, and new additions created specifically for this production.

August 2022 premieres on Disney+

"Pinocchio"

If Pinocchio (or Pinocchio in English), was part of the stories and movies of your childhood, then you can not miss this new version of Disney, starring one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood: Tom Hanks (Geppeto).

The film will premiere on Thursday, September 8 on Disney +.

The new version of Disney is what they call

live action

, that is, a story that was initially animated by real actors, flesh and blood.

The film is directed by Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis.

The top-notch cast is rounded out by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who plays the voice of that wooden boy, Pinocchio.

"Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio's guide and conscience; Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is Honest John; Academy Award nominee ® Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman. Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana (and her puppet Sabina), Giuseppe Battiston as Mr. Stromboli, and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick," according to Disney.

Hocus Pocus 2

From one fantasy story we jump to another.

Get out your cauldron and prepare your favorite potion and spell!

When Disney announced in May that we would have a sequel to this famous story in September, social networks exploded and the announcement soon became a trend.

And it is that its original protagonists, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathyn Najimy return to interpret their famous roles, that of the Sanderson sisters.

The original version of this film was released in 1993 and became a cult film.

"It's been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th century sisters, and they're out for revenge. Now it's up to three high school students to stop ravenous witches from causing a new kind of chaos in Salem before sunrise on All Hallows' Eve," says Disney+.

The film will arrive on Disney + on September 30.

Premieres August 2022 on HBO Max

"Elvis"

Long live the king of rock!

We know that this film has already had its premiere on the big screen, but for those who have not been able to see it in the cinema, now they will be able to enjoy this heartbreaking story from the comfort of their home.

This film is one that you cannot miss, whether you like the music or not and whether or not you agree with the life of Elvis Presley.

The production will be one of the favorites for the Oscars and its protagonist Austin Butler already sounds like one of the candidates for the Academy Award for best actor.

The production "explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker that spans more than 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America. At the center of that journey is one of the people most significant and influential figures in the life of Elvis, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge)," according to Warner Brothers.

The film takes to the

streaming

service on September 2.

We end our list of

streaming

premieres with a comedy, because laughter cures all ills.

The bilingual comedy series, created by Fred Armisen, Ana Fabrega and Julio Torre, takes place in a fictional country in Latin America and as its name indicates (

spooky

in English is terrifying), it has to do with horror stories. .. and well, don't be afraid if you don't like these plots, the story as such is comedy.

In this second season, the leader of Los Espookys (Bernardo Velasco), "is haunted by the ghost of a beauty pageant queen, while Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti) recruits an old acquaintance to challenge the

political

status quo

. Úrsula's well-meaning sister Tati (Ana Fabrega) is adjusting to life as a newlywed while balancing a new job, and Renaldo's ominous best friend Andrés (Julio Torres) tries to find his place in the world afterward. to appease his inner demons (literally). Meanwhile, Uncle Tico (Fred Armisen) is looking for a new purpose after his career as a valet goes off the rails," says HBO Max.

The second season will have its premiere on HBO Max on September 16.
