The secretary of Citizen Organization, Borja González (Bilbao, 1977), resigned this Thursday from his position in the party, four days after thirty members of the formation published a manifesto in which they asked for the dismissal of the president of Cs, Inés Arrimadas, and the call for an imminent extraordinary assembly.
González stated in the General Council at the beginning of July, the same day that Arrimadas presented to the G-8 team that is leading the refoundation process, his favorable position regarding the holding of an assembly.
“I have agreed with Inés Arrimadas that in this new stage of refoundation that we face, the best thing for the project is for someone else to take charge of the work that the party now needs”, González stated in his farewell letter. .
González, a national police officer by profession, had been at the head of the party's Organization Secretariat for two and a half years and was part of the permanent executive, the hard core of Arrimadas.
Previously he held the same position but in the Basque Country, where he worked as a national police officer.
He was also responsible for the Cs Youth area.
According to his environment, the resignation has been on his own initiative by not agreeing with some decisions of Arrimadas, to which he communicated the need to convene an extraordinary assembly.

The critical manifesto has been signed by half a thousand party members, including eight regional deputies, such as the parliamentarian in the Cortes de Aragón Carlos Ortas.

, although he will continue as a deputy.
The dismissal of him as secretary of Institutional Action has removed the entire organization of Citizens in Aragon, where several organic positions have subsequently resigned due to his dismissal.
Borja González was, until now, the person in charge of the organic structure and, since he took over from Fran Hervías in office, he has had to act as a fire extinguisher for the party from rebellion to rebellion throughout all the territories, especially after the abandonment of positions that They have left Ciudadanos but have clung to the act.

A resignation like that of the Secretary of Organization, in the middle of the refoundation process, distorts Arrimadas's strategy, which intends to leave the change or not of the Cs leaders for January, as decided by the affiliates in the active listening process.
