Since the computer attack on the hospital with a ransom demand on August 21, the Samu de l'Essonne has always directed emergency patients "
requiring complex care
" to other establishments in the Ile-de-France region, which has led to a reduction in half of the activity of adult emergencies at the CHSF, indicates the general management in a situation update dated August 31.

About 90 patients are seen by this hospital in the south-east of Paris per day compared to 230 in normal activity.
The management also clarified that “
nearly 500 stable patients (were) hospitalized in the establishment
” and that only 13 infants had been transferred “
as a precaution
” to intensive care and neonatology resuscitation last week.
The hospital can once again operate its operating rooms.
Gynecology-obstetrics services as well as day hospital consultations and care are also functioning.
However, the management notes "
withdrawals of scheduled patients (in consultation or in the operating room), which penalizes follow
-up ", she warns.

Last Friday, the Minister of Health François Braun had moved to the Corbeil-Essonnes hospital and had assured that "
the health of the French people would not be taken hostage
", announcing the release of an additional 20 million euros for the protection of health establishments.
To fight against the expanding phenomenon, the State had announced that it would devote an envelope of 25 million euros to the cybersecurity of health establishments for 2021 and 2022.
The CHSF was the victim of a computer attack on the night of Saturday to Sunday August 21 around 1 a.m.
A ransom demand of $10 million was demanded by the hacker(s).
The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for intrusion into the computer system and attempted extortion by an organized gang, supervised by its cybercrime section.
The investigations were entrusted to the gendarmes of the Center for the Fight against Digital Crime.
