Two individuals were remanded in custody. They are suspected of having stolen a loot of jewelry and multimedia equipment estimated at 600,000 euros.

Several criminals were recently arrested and placed in pre-trial detention, after a series of burglaries of businesses in the Ile-de-France, announced in a press release the General Directorate of the National Gendarmerie this Friday, September 2.

The first facts date back to the night of June 23.

In Villebon-sur-Yvette, in Essonne, the thieves first attacked a FNAC store, cutting its metal curtain before breaking into it.

In this trade where telephones, computers and video games are sold, criminals embark the equivalent of no less than 50,000 euros of multimedia equipment.

Five days later, on June 28, the perpetrators reproduced the operation identically, but this time in a Darty in Gif-sur-Yvette, also in Essonne.

This time, their loot is estimated at 35,000 euros.

Under the direction of the prosecutor's office of the judicial court of Évry, an investigation is entrusted to the research brigade of Palaiseau.

Two vehicles present during the incident are then identified: a utility vehicle and a two-wheeler, both with a false license plate.

As the investigations continue, the investigators also discover that the small organized gang had earlier carried out a break-in in a jewelry store in the Parly 2 shopping center, in Chesnay (Yvelines).

The criminals had this time stolen the equivalent of 500,000 euros worth of jewelry.

Another attempted theft, in a shopping center in Thiais (Val-de-Marne), is also attributed to the group.

Two individuals were formally identified by the authorities, who launched an arrest operation on August 30.

After arresting the duo, the investigators seized during searches 14,000 euros in cash, multimedia objects, jewelry, but also burglary equipment such as grinders and crowbars.

The two authors were brought before the magistrate with a view to an indictment and are being remanded in custody.
