On Wednesday, two men aged 21 and 33 suspected of having committed several break-ins in Essonne and Yvelines for an amount of around 600,000 euros were arrested in Île-de-France.
Brought before a magistrate, they were placed in pre-trial detention.
The first burglary for which they are accused was committed on the night of June 23 in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne).
Using grinders, criminals managed to penetrate Fnac and stole many multimedia materials for a loss of 50,000 euros.
Five days later, it was the turn of the Darty store in Gif-sur-Yvette (Essonne) to be the victim of the same facts.
This time, the loot amounts to 35,000 euros.
At Chesnay, they leave with 500,000 euros worth of jewelry
"Under the direction of the prosecution of the Court of Justice of Evry, an investigation is carried out by the research brigade of Palaiseau, reinforced punctually by soldiers of the departmental company", indicates the gendarmerie.
Surveillance and the information that goes back to them allow them to identify two vehicles, a utility vehicle and a two-wheeler.
The investigation shows that they are both provided with false license plates.
