At a time when energy savings are becoming a national priority, the Saint-Exupéry school in Juvisy-sur-Orge (Essonne) received a visit this Thursday from the Minister Delegate for Local Authorities, Caroline Cayeux.
Major thermal renovation work was carried out in the establishment, for an amount of 66,000 euros, 30% financed by the State.
The municipality, which has already carried out the same type of work in other schools and in the Peter Pan and Tinker Bell micro-nurseries, claims to have thus achieved savings "of the order of 25%".
The installation of triple-glazed windows and the renovation of the roof of one of the two buildings will considerably change the daily life of the educational team and the 248 students of Saint-Exupéry.
“This school was created in the 1960s, underlines the director, Laetitia Piazza D'Olmo.
These renovations will bring us more comfort, both for the insulation from the noise coming from the street and for the heat.

On the parents' side, the measure is obviously welcomed.
