Brittany Campbell tells about how they discovered the man living in their house (Brittany Campbell)

The following story could support any quality horror movie: imagine a stranger hiding in your house and secretly watching you every day for weeks or even months.

This is exactly what happened to the innocent couple Brittney and James Campbell in their home in Honolulu, Hawaii.

After coming face-to-face with the intruder living secretly in their home, they discovered evidence of his sick plot when, in retrospect, it turns out that he planned to pull them out of bed, perform "sexual surgery" on them, and cut off their hands to implant them in someone else.

"He wanted to play doctor and patient with us, and not in the childish and cute way of it," said a shocked Britney.

In the premiere episode of Lifetime's Phrogging: Hider In My House, the couple shared their story, which first made headlines in 2019. Phrogging is a terrifying phenomenon where people discover people living secretly in their homes - in hidden places like the walls, abandoned spaces , basements or attics.

According to the creators of the series, it turns out that this phenomenon is far from an urban legend and they discovered around 300 similar cases.

After getting married and moving to Honolulu with two children in 2019, the Campbells started noticing strange little things.

They found boxes open in the garage, things moved, their webcam turned on at night and Brittany heard the door slam "out of nowhere."

James, however, admitted he thought she was paranoid and he was frustrated with his wife.

Britney, however, said the experience left her "on the brink of a complete mental breakdown."

James also recalled seeing a shadow of a man outside his house one day, before coming across a strange message left on the calendar on the desk.

It read: "Your rehabilitation begins today. Do as I did: choose a house, clean it, set up all the appliances."

However, he assumed that Brittany wrote it for him and just wanted him to clean house.

In September 2019, the family went on a trip for a week and when they returned to Hawaii, they first noticed that James' bike was on the path leading to the parking lot and immediately knew something was wrong.

While the kids waited in the car, James opened the garage and found it upside down and a complete mess.

When they tried to open the main door of the house, they encountered difficulties in opening it.

"We only managed to open a small crack in the door and we saw a man inside our house," said Brittany, "he was wearing James' clothes and tried to prevent us from entering the house."

"He tried to hold the door closed and said 'this is not your house' in a very calm way," James recalled.

At first the couple thought it was a homeless person or a drug addict who took shelter in their house when they were not around.

The man tried to calm them down and said he was "taking care of their cat" while they were off, prompting Brittany to run inside to check on their pet.

They found him in a cage, without water.

The police arrived and arrested him and according to the couple he behaved very casually about the whole ordeal.

"It was really like this person didn't think they were doing anything out of the ordinary," Brittany said.

But after he was arrested and after a police search of the house, the chilling truth began to be revealed.

It turns out that the man identified in the media as Ezekiel Zayas, was in the house much longer than they thought and that he had a terrifying plan to perform an operation on them that would turn them into a new species of human he called "omnivores".

They found a towel with knives on it placed next to their pair of computers.

On one computer, there was a text document on the screen titled, "The Omnivore: Rehabilitation for People Like Rats," as well as "intimate details" about things he "could only know if he listened to our private conversations," Brittany said: "He somehow knew that my husband And we are trying to have a baby. He wrote that I should give up trying to give birth and focus on the children I have. This person was watching us."

"His texts specified that surgical procedures should be performed on my wife and children. We found some sort of serums that are marked for use on 'omnivores,'" said James, "he looked for videos on the Internet about how to surgically remove an arm, he also looked for how to do gender reassignment surgery."

Brittany said Zayas also looked on websites to buy operating tables, as well as instructions on how to perform certain surgeries at home.

"He was researching ways to implement these plans that he had," James said.

The couple have since left Hawaii because they were unable to live in the home where the tranny took place while the intruder was living in their home black from a supervised release - before being arrested again for allegedly breaking into the temple.

While awaiting trial on burglary charges, he was charged with killing another inmate and charged with first-degree murder and second-degree murder in 2020 and is currently in a mental health facility awaiting trial.
