The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection seized today a warehouse in the industrial area of Lattakia containing large quantities of coconut and cocoa powder without any specification, as a removable label was placed on it, which facilitates the process of tampering with its validity and production date.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng. Ahmed Zaher, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the necessary control was duly organized against the factory owners, the violating quantities were seized, and the necessary legal measures were duly taken.
In the same context, Zaher explained that by monitoring the markets, 36 catering seizures were made in violation of the trade in bread, a catering seizure in violation of not giving regular invoices to the vehicle distributing dairy and cheese products, and 13 catering seizures in violation of not announcing prices, and ten samples of food and non-food items were taken for analysis. necessary and to indicate the extent of their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
