Prague-Sana

More than 70,000 Czech citizens demonstrated this afternoon in the center of the Czech capital, Prague, to demand freedom from dependence on NATO and the European Union.

The demonstrators raised slogans (Czech Republic in the first place) in a sign of their rejection of their country's government's interest in providing aid to Ukraine more than its interest in its citizens.

The demonstrators expressed their protest against the government's performance and its failure to address the crisis of high energy, fuel and food prices, calling for the resignation of Peter Villa's government, holding early parliamentary elections and declaring military neutrality towards the existing conflicts in Europe.

It is noteworthy that the Viala government yesterday survived a vote of no-confidence in Parliament, which was raised by opposition deputies.
