Authorities in the US state of Mississippi evacuated a convenience store that contained a gas station after the pilot of a small plane threatened to intentionally crash it.
Reuters quoted Tupelo police, Mississippi, as saying in a statement, "They received a report that the pilot threatened to shoot down his plane on a Wal-Mart store and a gas station, which necessitated their immediate evacuation."
For its part, the Daily Journal reported that the pilot works at Tupelo Airport.
Videos posted by activists on social media showed the plane flying at a low altitude above the roof of the store.
