Twenty-four people were killed by lightning that struck eastern India over the past few days during monsoon storms.
The website of Russia Today channel quoted officials of the Disaster Management Department in the eastern state of Bihar, India, as saying that the victims of these lightning strikes were farmers and workers in Bihar, and that they died during the fierce storms that struck the state between Wednesday and Friday.
They said 11 people died across the state on Friday, in addition to 13 deaths over the previous two days.
