From the Buchheim Museum to the Bernried Monastery, the path meanders along the shore.
The water ripples, the sun lets the trees and bushes along the way shine in lush green.
And in between, large-format images keep popping up.
The humor course shows 30 cartoons by well-known caricaturists.
It's about electric cars that are currently on sale, the age-related deterioration of the human body or an alternative ending to the story of Noah's Ark.
Those who walk along the Seeweg will not only be rewarded with a wonderful view, the exhibition will also make many smiling faces.
And in between then roaring laughter.
In the Laughing Forest, installed by David Berlinghof, you can hear the cackling,
Retired Mermaids
Arriving at the Bernried monastery, it is worth visiting the monastery garden.
There, comic figures and beings by Mia Böddecker, Alto Hien and Erwin Schwentner populate the little idyll.
On the meadow, in the pond, partially hidden in the green - there is a lot to discover.
Böddecker shows mythical creatures made of women and fish bodies in the monastery garden, which - according to the myth - live in the (Starnberg) lake.
The artist asks herself: "What will become of a mermaid when she has served her time and is no longer young and pretty?" The answer can be found in the monastery garden.
The aging beings seem to be doing well there - and the water god Neptune seems to like the company too.
Well-known artists
In addition to the exhibitions, a number of events are also planned.
At the end of the summer and festival, the Bernried Humor Festival crowns this year's program with two other grandees from the cabaret scene.
Helmfried von Lüttichau (September 10) and Bruno Jonas (September 16) present their current programs in the newly expanded summer cellar.
Maps are available from the tourist office in Bernried, among others.
This year's major summer exhibition at the Buchheim Museum is dedicated to the master of comic painting, Rudi Hurzlmeier, and runs until September 25th.
More information about the Bernried Humor Festival program is available online.
