Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stressed that Germany is a country that deals with Russia as an enemy, so it should not be surprised by the problems in the field of Russian gas supplies.
In response to a statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that Russia “is no longer a reliable supplier of energy,” Medvedev said on his account on Telegram today, “Germany is an unfriendly country that has imposed sanctions on the entire Russian economy and is providing Ukraine with lethal weapons directed against our armed forces, that is, it has waged a hybrid war against Russia.” It acts as an enemy, and yet Schulz expresses his surprise that the Germans face small issues with gas.”
Schulz had said earlier today that Russia "is not considered a reliable supplier of energy because it has not fulfilled its obligations under the contract for a long time," while the Russian side rejected more than once accusations of violating its obligations, noting that the current situation is caused by the energy policy practiced by the European Union and its sanctions against Russia.
